If you are still at University and you are planning a trip abroad, you may be eligible for a Thesiger Award.
Ten awards of up to £1000 are available each year to OEs whose travel plans reflect some of the spirit of Sir Wilfred Thesiger: a sense of adventure; a keen independence; a readiness to serve, observe and understand different cultures and communities.
It is a condition of the awards that every successful applicant will submit a 1500 word account of his trip. Reports will be entered for the Thesiger Prize. The winning entry will be published in the OEA Review.
The deadline for 2021 applications is 15th April.
